PCO Filing Week – May 14 to May 18
Online PCO filing is available from May 14 9:00a to May 18 4:30p. Don’t miss the deadline! Here are some quick FAQs on PCO filing.
Q: Why should I file to be a PCO in my district?
A: Being a PCO is the lowest level of office you can hold in the Democratic Party, but it’s also one of the most important. By being elected as a PCO, you are stating that you are willing to both outreach to and represent the Democrats in your district. The most fundamental work of the Democratic Party is done by PCOs!
Q: Where do I go to file for PCO online?
A: https://www.kingcounty.gov/depts/elections/for-candidates/online-pco-filing.aspx.
Q: Am I actually filing for a real office? Will my name show up on the ballot?
A: Yes, you’re filing for a real office! Your name will only show up on the ballot if you are not the only person that filed to be the PCO for your district. If you are uncontested, you will automatically win, and your name will not show up on the ballot.
